MangoReply's LinkedIn® agent

A second MangoReply agent, for LinkedIn. It drafts posts with AI for the LinkedIn member it works for, and publishes each one to that member's own profile only after the member approves it, through LinkedIn's official API. It engages with other people's posts and comments only on a link it's given, one link at a time.

Not open for sign-ups

The LinkedIn agent isn't available to customers yet. Today it runs on one LinkedIn account, our CEO's own. There's no sign-up, plan or price for it, and no one else can connect an account to it. LinkedIn features for professionals' profiles and company pages are being built into MangoReply, and can't be bought or used yet. For questions about it, email ravi@fikraventures.co.

What it does

It publishes only what the member approves, and engages only on links it's given

✍️

Drafts posts, publishes on approval

Its posts are drafted by AI from source material and set for fixed times, to go on the member's own profile and never on a company Page. There are at most 3 posting times a day. Each post is published only after the member approves that post. A post not approved within 3 hours of its time is skipped, never published late.

🔍

Checks each draft first

Before a post can be queued, checks in its code refuse a draft that states a figure in digits its material doesn't contain (whole numbers up to ten aside), predicts prices or promises returns, carries hashtags, or baits engagement with lines like "follow for more". A second AI check is then asked to send back a draft with a figure, an event in the member's life, or a claim about people, a market or a product that neither its material nor a fixed summary of the member's background backs.

🔗

Engages only on a link it's given

It reacts to or comments on a post only when it's given that post's link and asked to, one link each time. Comments are drafted by AI, unless the member supplies the text, and a comment is posted only after the member approves its text. The one exception, off unless it's turned on, is a first comment under the member's own new post naming the source of a figure in it.

Limits

Limits written into its code

A reaction, comment or reply asked for past a limit is refused, not held for later. Days are counted in Dubai time.

  • At most 8 reactions a day, at least 90 seconds apart, on posts no more than 30 days old.
  • At most 5 comments and replies a day in all, at least 30 minutes apart.
  • Comments only on posts no more than 14 days old.
  • Replies, drafted by AI and approved by the member, go only to a comment handed over on one of the member's own posts from the last 7 days, and only once LinkedIn accepts them.
  • Reactions and comments are for posts by people, not company Pages: it refuses a post unless its link reads as a person's or the member names its author.
  • Posting and engagement are budgeted to at most 60 requests to LinkedIn a day.
  • If LinkedIn answers that it's getting too many requests, everything stops, posting included, for 24 hours, or 48 hours when it's the second stop within a week.
What it doesn't do

What it leaves alone

  • It doesn't publish a post the member hasn't approved.
  • It sends no messages and doesn't answer the member's inbox.
  • It doesn't send connection requests, follow anyone or repost.
  • It doesn't read the member's feed, messages or connections, or other members' profiles, through LinkedIn's API, and it doesn't ask LinkedIn for permission to.
  • It isn't part of any MangoReply plan or the WhatsApp dashboard. Its code and data are kept apart from the WhatsApp agent's.
Data and terms

What it keeps, and LinkedIn's part

What it keeps

Other LinkedIn members' names and profile links are removed from its records within 24 hours. The ids of their posts and comments, the links to their posts, and the counts of reactions and comments the member's own posts received are removed within 48 hours. After that it keeps only a fingerprint of an id, which can't be turned back into it, so it can refuse to act twice on the same post. To draft a comment, the text of the other member's post, and the author's name when the member gives it, go to our AI service provider. A request to delete is met within 10 days. Section 10 of our Privacy Policy says what the LinkedIn agent keeps, who it's shared with, how long it's kept, and how to have it deleted. Read section 10.

LinkedIn and MangoReply

MangoReply is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by LinkedIn Corporation or its affiliates. The agent works through LinkedIn's official API with the permissions the member grants, and LinkedIn can limit or revoke that access. The member is responsible for following LinkedIn's User Agreement and for what's posted in their name, as section 4 of our Terms of Service says.

Being built

For professionals and company pages

LinkedIn features for professionals' profiles and for company pages are being built into MangoReply. They aren't available yet, and nothing for LinkedIn can be bought today. We won't sell them until we've applied for and received LinkedIn's Standard tier of API access. These are limits they'll keep when they open.

  • A person will approve every post and every reply before it's published.
  • On a company page, team roles will decide who drafts a post and who approves it.
  • A page administrator will connect their own LinkedIn profile and choose the pages they administer. MangoReply will read their role on each page from LinkedIn and let them act only where that role allows.
  • A page's own posts, including posts made directly on LinkedIn, will be listed in the team's calendar.
  • It will like or comment on someone else's post only when a member gives it that post's link and asks, one post at a time, and the member will approve each comment first.
  • Suggested replies to comments on a company page's posts will be off unless the customer turns them on. When they're on, only the comment's text and the page's own post text will go to the AI model, never the commenter's name or identity.
  • Among a customer's own people, what's read from LinkedIn for a profile will be shown only to its owner and the people they add, and what's read for a company page only to the team members assigned to that page.
  • Comment text on a page's posts will be kept for at most 48 hours. Commenters' names will be held in memory only, for at most 24 hours, and never stored. Section 10 of our Privacy Policy lists every limit.
